How this site works and how it is paid

Last updated .

movingservicesdenver.com is an independent lead-generation publisher. Despite the name, it is not a moving company, a broker, a storage facility or an insurer. Nobody who works on this site moves, packs, stores or insures anyone's belongings.

What happens when you request quotes

  • Your request (service, ZIPs, timing, home size, access, contact details and anything you wrote) goes to one or more movers who serve your ZIP and hold a current Colorado Public Utilities Commission household goods mover permit.
  • We check each permit in the PUC permit search before a mover receives requests, and record the date of that check. For moves out of Colorado we also check the mover's USDOT number with FMCSA.
  • Those movers pay us for the introduction. The fee does not change your price; the estimate and contract are between you and the mover.
  • Movers may call, text or email you. If we ever publish a tracked phone number, calls may be recorded to confirm the request was delivered, and the recording is announced.
  • We do not perform, supervise, insure or guarantee any move. Estimates, contracts, valuation, claims and complaints are with the mover.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish reviews, ratings or testimonials that we have not verified, and at present we publish none.
  • We do not promise response times, same-day moves or availability. Those depend on the mover.
  • We do not rank movers by how much they pay us.
  • We do not sell your details to anyone other than the mover or movers matched to your request.
  • We do not state a price of our own. Every price on the site is a published figure from a named source with the date we read it.

If a partner behaves badly

Tell us at hello@movingservicesdenver.com with the mover's name and what happened. A mover that misrepresents its permit, an estimate or a charge is removed.

You can also file a complaint with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, which takes action against movers that break the terms of their permit. For an interstate move, the complaint goes to FMCSA.

Questions about a request you sent? See the contact page.

Common questions about how we are paid

Do I pay anything for a quote?

No. People moving never pay us. Movers pay for the introduction, and that fee does not change the price they quote you.

Will my details be sold to other companies?

No. They go to the permitted mover or movers matched to your ZIP and service, and to the form provider that carries them. Nothing goes to data brokers.

Who is responsible if something is damaged?

The mover. It holds the permit, the insurance and the contract, including the valuation option you chose. We are a publisher and not a party to the move. Our editorial policy explains how we source what we publish.
